When we want to ask yes/ No question, we can use (do, does) or (am, is are) or (have, has) as question word
[size=21]عندما نريد أن نسأل سؤال جوابه نعم/ لا (yes/ No question)، نستطيع استعمال الأفعال المساعدة (do, does) أو
(am, is are) أو (have, has) كأدوات استفهام
I ----------------------Do, have, am
He, she, it------------- is, has, does
You, we, they----------- do, have, are
When forming questions using the verb be (am, is, are), do (do, does), or have (have, has), the auxiliary verb is placed before the subject.
عند تشكيل سؤال باستعمال الأفعال المساعدة (am, is, are, do, does, have, has) نقوم فقط بتقديم الفعل المساعد على الفاعل ونضعة في أول الجملة
Verb to be
I am Syrian = Am I Syrian
? You are Syrian = Are you Syrian
?He is Syrian = Is he Syrian
?She is Syrian = Is she Syrian
?It is a cat = Is it a cat
?We are Syrian = Are we Syrian
Verb to do
If there is one verb in the statement and the verb is do, simply switch the positions of the subject and verb.
إذا كان هناك فعل واحد في الجملة هو do، عندها نقوم فقط بتقديم الفعل على الفاعل
? I do = Do I
? You do = Do you
?He does = does he
?She does = does she
?It does = does it
?We do = Do we
?They do = Do they
Verb to have
?I have got an English book = Have I got an English book
?You have got an English book = Have You got an English book
?He has got an English book = Has he got an English book
?She has got an English book = Has she got an English book
?It has got an English book = Has It got an English book
?We have got an English book = Have We got an English book
?They have got an English book = Have they got an English book
If there is one verb, and the verb is not a form of be (do, does, am, is, are, have, has), then we add the correct form of the verb 'to do' (do, does) to the beginning. Here there is no subject verb inversion.
إذا كانت الجملة تحوي على فعل واحد، وهذا الفعل ليس من الأفعال المساعدة (do, does, am, is, are, have, has)، عندها نضيف الصيفة المناسبة من الفعل (do, does ) إلى بداية الجملة
?I speak English = Do I speak English
?You speak English = Do you speak English
?He speaks English = Does he speak English
?She speaks English = Does she speak English
?It eats fish = Does it eat fish
?We speak English = Do we speak English
?They speak English = Do they speak English
